So went the classic comedy sketch from the theatrical/radio inspired Firesign Theater troupe of the 1960s. In the sketch, the game show, “Beat the Reaper,” had contestents injected with a fatal disease. If they guessed the disease correctly as the symptoms set in, they were given the antidote— just so they could live to play another round! Yes, I had most of those Firesign Theater albums memorized and the above is taken directly from my gray matter.
And so, stocks look to me like they’re making some kind of low. The S&P guessed correctly that the fatal disease was ‘panic’ and the antidote has been administered. The patient is allowed to live. But that life is just one of continuing to play “Beat the Reaper” and we can expect another set of near-fatal symptoms to emerge at a future date. I’m raising my short-term target to 1060 on the December eMini.

Another Firesign skit dialogued: “Domini, Domini, Domini; You’re all Catholics now!”
Possibly as applicable with all the praying lately.

I just want to point out that the Reaper came along on Yom Kippur (though I am not Jewish.) I am not sure of the log calendar relationship, because this spreadsheet does not digest large distant dates at all.

Got Spiral Calendar book and reading it now. I browse to the end and see some predictions of the future
But I don’t see anything about 2007-2008 predictions.
Was it a miss in retrospective?
