Yen – the big picture

The dollar entered a confirmed downtrend versus the yen in August, when both the cycle-trap turned down, and a net-line sell was issued. (see red arrows on this monthly chart.). That the dollar has easily penetrated the channel on the downside is indicative of its extreme weakness. Remember, this is a monthly chart!
